About Me
My name is Kae Shen, my friends usually call me Kae. I am an international student from Malaysia and I believe not many of you heard about it before. I come from the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur and just transfer to the fisher college of business in the Ohio State of University. It was always a great dream of mine to live and study abroad in a foreign country and I am really excited about it.

Firstly, I am currently a sophomore in Management Information System. The reason why I chose this specialization is because I love to analyze data and solve problems. Besides that, I am also a food blogger back then in Malaysia. As food is everything for me, so, I have created an Instagram account just to post food’s photo. It started of with an interest of mine, but then it developed into a business. I have been invited to food testing events and opening ceremony of several restaurants and it allowed me to gain insights of F&B and digital marketing industries. Secondly, there are a few reasons why I chose the Ohio State of University. First, it is because the Ohio State of University is a place for you to finally discover and study what you truly enjoy. Besides, the Ohio state of University is now considered on of the top 20 public universities in the nation, home to top notch colleges for medicine, business, arts and sciences, architecture, and much more. Ohio State offers more than 200 majors to pick from, including the opportunity to create your own major tract. Moreover, the public transportation is very convenient for those who stay off campus like me, the bus come on time in every 15 minutes and you will hardly late for class.
Thirdly, let me describe about the country where I came from, Malaysia. Malaysia is an ultimate travel destination, you can find an experience here that will fulfil all your wildest, travel related, dreams. Add to that the great weather, and the fact that it’s super cheap and you’ll see that Malaysia got it all. Malaysia is surrounded by the ocean, so we have many islands. The top on my list is Redang, a small island paradise just off Malaysia’s East Coast. With very few inhabitants it’s quiet and the perfect secluded relaxation spot. In the north of the island turtles lay their eggs on the beach, so if you go snorkelling, you may be able to spot sea turtles swimming beside you. Besides that, Malaysia is a multicultural melting pot of Asian culture, with strong influences from China, India and the rest of Southeast Asia, everywhere you look there are fusions of influence. Penang is the most apparent fusion. It is filled with historical and cultural gems including amazing colonial architecture, classic churches, Buddhist and Hindu temples and grand mosques.

Furthermore, Malaysia is a food paradise. If you are that kind of person which cannot live without delicious food, Malaysia would be your first choice when it come to food. Whether you’re stopping on a street corner, splashing out in one of the capital’s best restaurants or hovering somewhere in between, prepare for a culinary wake up call thanks to some amazing flavours. Head to Kuala Lumpur to try the cheap, and completely scrumptious street food, such as Chicken Satay, Roti Canai, Nasi Lemak, and Beef Rendang. If you’re in Penang, widely accepted to be Malaysia’s food capital, try the Laksa Penang, cendol, and fried kuey-teow and the Nasi Kandar. How can you not love Malaysia?
Go bucks!
