Year in Review

Global Awareness

As a World Politics major, global awareness is very important to me. I take courses relating to foreign policy. I have studied abroad once here at OSU, to London, and this summer I will be traveling to Uganda through the university as well. I hope to intern for global organizations, like the United Nations and the State Department. I will spend my time here at OSU working toward being a globally aware person and spreading global awareness to others.

Original Inquiry

I plan on becoming involved in research. Research is a great way to explore interests and further your education and personal development outside of the classroom. I have completed two internships thus far. I also plan on continuing to take advanced coursework and participating in more internships, as well as volunteering. Original inquiry is very important in developing skills that are needed in life and in the workplace.

Academic Enrichment

I will use my Honors Contract to create a program of study tailored to me and my interests. I have always been interested in what was happening in the world and how the United States reacted, which is why I chose my major. I also like learning about different cultures and how they have developed, which is how I chose my second major, Anthropology. I plan on delving into many topics under my major. My academics not only serve my major but serve my interests and I am excited for the courses I will be taking.

Leadership Development

Leadership skills are very important in virtually every aspect of life. I am currently employed and will be promoted soon to a leadership position. I have also been put in charge of various projects in my internships. Taking on leadership roles now will prepare me to be a leader in graduate school and my career.

Service Engagement

Service is one of the most rewarding and selfless things a person can do. I thoroughly enjoy helping others and I plan to continue this while here. I have volunteered extensively in the past and plan to continue this through the rest of my time at the university for organizations that interact with the international community in Columbus.
