One thing that is sure in any sport is change, and perhaps a change more frequent to soccer than other sports is the change of uniforms. Recently, the Columbus Crew unveiled new uniforms, and did a good thing — rid themselves of the collar.
The uniforms bother me in one way: the Barbasol logo is larger than the Crew shield. I realize this is typical for soccer uniforms, and for the Crew’s even, but I’ll always find it to be quite tacky and unappealing. However, compared to the old uniforms, the Columbus players will look sharp. Thank goodness for change, even if the change isn’t perfect.
