Poultry Ownership Workshop

Interested in backyard or urban poultry ownership and production? Help us spread the word-2014 EAST OHIO Women in Agriculture Conference

The 2014 East Ohio Women in Agriculture Conference will be March 28 in New Philadelphia, OH. This is a joint effort of ANR and FCS educators in the Crossroads EERA (which is comprised of the following counties-Stark , Wayne, Mahoning, Columbiana, Tuscarawas, Holmes, Carroll. Harrison, Jefferson, Coshocton, Muskingum, Guernsey). We would appreciate your help in promoting/sharing this with women in your networks.

Some ideas on how you can help:
1. Email the link to women who have participated in your programs in the past.
2. Print the flyer from and include in a mailing or newsletter. (Registration is available online and the link is provided on the flyer.)
3. Include a link/statement in your email newsletters.

Register TODAY for Feb. 18 Stark County Private Pesticide Applicator Recertification Training

If you hold a Private Pesticide Applicator License in Stark County and your license expires this year, please don’t forget to register for the February 18th recertification session to be held at the R.G. Drage Career and Technical Center.  All Stark County applicators received a mailing in early January with registration information.  Cost is $35 if registered by February 11 and $50 after February 11 or at the door.  Make checks payable to Ohio State University Extension.  If you are from another county and need to register, please contact the Stark County OSU Extension office at 330-830-7700.
