Details

NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) is a website that has a lot of useful information on it. It has the current space related science news, current and past space missions and spaces related media such as images. The site also offers teacher and student resources such as lesson plans and videos.

Educational Uses

This site has a ton to offer to education not only for students but teachers as well. As a teacher I would use this site first as a tool to educate myself. Science in general but especially space related science can really confuse me and I’m sure others as well. By using the site I could get accurate information about the material I’m teaching so I can be sure to teach it right. I would then use the site to find lessons and resources that I could use in conjunction with lessons to aid in student learning. I could even find videos for students to watch or games to play. Overall, there are lots of useful information on this site that is geared towards teachers of all grades and students of all ages to aid in their learning. Another feature about this site that I find to be extremely cool is the virtual field trips that it offers to places like the Moon and Mars. That would be extremely helpful to have in a classroom to show younger students to give them an image of something that is very hard to imagine.
