Cover Letter –Aviation 2200

Delta Air Lines, Inc.

Dear Mr. Jones

I recently came across an opportunity to be a Marketing intern for Delta Airlines at the Ohio State Career Fair and would very much be considered for this position.  I have had the opportunity to speak with your recruiter Tim White about the internship and about Delta’s future goals. With my qualifications, I believe I am a viable candidate for the position.

I am aware that Delta holds the values of honest, respect, and professionalism and I have upheld those values everywhere I’ve worked whether it be through my work as a volunteer at the local church or assisting my fraternity in raising $35000 for Cancer Research.   Also, my experience of being a Marketing Intern for a restaurant establishment named Currito has benefited me in a way that I can transfer the skills I learned through my time there to benefit Delta Airlines.

Attached is my resume for you to view.  I welcome the opportunity to review with you personally on how my skills can best serve your company.

Sincerely

Aravind Nair

  1. I really liked your letter. You seem to pack in a lot of info into the short letter. If you have any aviation-specific experiences, I would try to highlight that as well.

  2. I really liked the letter but you could make a few revising/editing changes to help it out. I would make the in “the Ohio State University Career Fair” capitalized and reword the rest of that sentence. Next, be sure to set off Tim White by using commas around his name. Honest should be changed to honesty and “everywhere I’ve worked” should be changed to eliminate the contraction and make it sound more professional. The few revisions/edits aside, it sounds great!
