Each participant may submit only one poster or talk as presenting author. Please register for the meeting by April 15th before submitting an abstract.
UPDATE: Participants will be notified by May 4th whether their abstract was selected for oral or poster presentation.
Abstract Submission Deadlines
- April 15: Deadline for Abstract submission for consideration for oral presentation (abstracts not selected for talks will be scheduled for poster presentation)
- April 22: Deadline for Abstract submission for poster presentation (all submitted poster abstracts will be accepted for presentation unless otherwise notified)
Abstract Format – Please follow instructions carefully
- On the abstract submission form, enter the presenting author’s first and last name, email address, appropriate academic standing, institution, and advisor’s name and email address. It is understood that the named advisor has approved the abstract content.
- Enter the abstract title (please be concise)
- Upload the abstract as a Word document (only). Please use the following format.
- Use Arial font, size 11, 1-inch margins
- Paragraph 1: Abstract Title
- Next paragraph: List all contributors’ names, including the advisor, in the following format: Last, First Initial, Middle Initial (if desired), e.g. Brown ME1, Huang J-C2, and Patel H1,2, with the presenting author first. Use numbers to indicate institutional affiliation(s) after each name.
- Next paragraph: List departmental and institutional affiliations for each author in one paragraph, in the following format: 1Department of Molecular Genetics, The Ohio State University, 2Center for RNA Biology, The Ohio State University.
- Next paragraph: Please enter the body of the abstract as one paragraph. There is a 2000 character limit, including spaces, for the abstract body.
- IMPORTANT – Save your Word document in the following format: Presenter Last name_First initial_Institution abbreviation, e.g. Buckeye_Brutus_OSU.
- Please proof your abstract carefully before submission. We are not able to make corrections post-submission.
Talk Format
- All talks are 12 minutes maximum, leaving 3 minutes for questions and transitioning to the next speaker. To respect others in your session and to keep the meeting on time, please ensure that your talk conforms to the 12 minute time limit.
- Details about when and where to upload your talk during the conference will be provided. Please have your talk, and any embedded video, saved on a thumb drive.
Poster Format
- We can accommodate posters up to 48″ x 48″
- Push pins will be provided
