Livestock Quality Assurance Test-Out Opportunity – April 3, 4:30-5:30 p.m.

Participants must call the Extension Office to pre-register. Testing will take place at the Veteran’s Building at the Fairgrounds. See page 22 of the 2019 Muskingum County 4-H Family Handbook for details.

Livestock Quality Assurance Program – April 3, 6-8 p.m.

Livestock Quality Assurance (LQA) Certification is required for all youth exhibiting a market animal, dairy cow or dairy goat project at the Muskingum County Fair. Sessions will take place at the Veteran’s Building at the Fairgrounds.See page 22 of the 2019 Muskingum County 4-H Family Handbook for details.

4-H CARTEENS Program – April 11

4-H CARTEENS takes place at the Muskingum County Juvenile Court. Youth interested in becoming 4-H CARTEENS volunteer presenters should contact the Extension Office for details.

4-H Camp Registration Materials Available – April 15

Available online and at the Extension office.

Camp Team Meeting #4 – April 17, 6-8 p.m.

Junior Camp counselors and staff will meet at the Extension Office. Crafts Counselors will meet at 5:30 p.m.

Small Animal Quality Assurance – April 20, 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

Small Animal Fun Day – April 20, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Youth enrolled in (or interested in taking in the future) rabbit, poultry and goat projects are STRONGLY encouraged to attend this free clinic that will include species themed games, great educational opportunities and door prizes!

Junior Fair Board will meet at the Extension Office.

Horse Safety & Ethics Program – April 23, 6-7 p.m.

All first-time horse project participants are required to participate in the Horse Safety and Ethics Training Program with a parent/guardian before they are permitted to ride a horse at a 4-H activity or event. Both parent/guardian and youth must read 191R Horses, Safety and You prior to attending the program and bring the book with them to the program. See page 22 of the 2019 Muskingum County 4-H Family Handbook for details.

Camp Counselor Workshop at 4-H Camp Ohio – April 26-27

First-time Camp Counselors are required to attend.

4-H member priority registrations accepted April 29-May 5.
