Horse Safety and Ethics Training

All first-time horse project participants must participate in the Horse Safety and Ethics Training Program with a parent or guardian before they can begin riding their horse at 4-H activities.  There are two opportunities to attend the program: March 12 and March 29 from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. each evening at the Extension Office.

Call the Extension Office to pre-register. Please be on time. No late admittance allowed.  Both parent/guardian and youth must read 191R Horses, Safety and You prior to attending the program and bring the book with them to the program. Volunteers should purchase this book with their book order so the youth have time to read it with a parent prior to the program.
