About Me

I am a first-year student at The Ohio State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialization in accounting. I am currently working to improve myself both personally and professionally through my involvement in the Business Scholars Program and Undergraduate Business Women’s Association. I am enhancing my leadership, communication, and problem solving skills through these organizations. I am passionate about mentoring, volunteering, and traveling, and I plan to study abroad in the future. I am excited to meet and work with new people both during my time at OSU as well as in my future career. I am always looking for new opportunities and experiences. The best way to contact me is at murphy.1803@osu.edu.

First Semester Experience

One memorable experience that I had during my first semester at Ohio State was the OSU versus Cincinnati football game. This particular day was important to me because my family decided to come to the game and I was able to spend time with them. I was extremely happy to see my family since I had not seen them since move-in day. Although I only got to spend a couple hours with them, this experience reminded me how important it is to make time for your family.

An artifact that represents this experience is a picture that I took with my dad and sister while at the game. This picture was taken by my dad, and it features (from left to right) my sister, me, and my dad. My mom is not in the picture, however she was at the game as well. This artifact comes from my phone and it is significant to me because it captures my excitement to be able to be with my family on this day. While being at college I have learned to cherish the time that I spend with my family and came to realize how valuable moments like this are.
