Our rationale for choosing this condition
Our group chose this condition because we are interested in autoimmune disorders, specifically this potentially disabling disease of multiple sclerosis (MS). We all have taken care of a patient with MS or personally know someone with this disease. MS has only been discussed briefly in our previous classes and we want to learn more about the disease process. Learning more about the management and treatment of MS will allow us to better care for our patients with this disease or similar autoimmune conditions.
