Hey everyones, I’m Nina! The picture above me is of my mom and me at my high school graduation. I’m originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I love dogs (especially my own, his name is Bobby), hip hop and rock climbing! Most days I’m staying in my dorm and watching Netflix rather than going out, though. A fun fact about me is that I’m an dual citizen of the US and Ireland (EU).
I’m majoring in Biology with double minors in Chinese and Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies. I’m most excited about taking a lot of classes to learn about diversity and the world outside of my own. My hometown was very conservative, and I’m ready to branch out. I’m very interested in working with animals as a career, among tons of other things that don’t coincide with my future degree, so we’ll see where life eventually takes me! As for now, I’m an Advocates for Communities and Education Scholar, a Morrill Scholar, a member of Dance Coalition, and a volunteer at Global Gifts in the Short North.
After college I know I want to travel, places already on my list to go include; China, Korea, India, Germany, the Netherlands, and Iceland. My other future plans include living in a studio or loft apartment with lots of natural light on the third highest floor of an apartment building in a bustling city with as many pets as possible. I hope to find a career I can be financially secure and satisfied with and have free time to find my passions elsewhere as well.
