About Me

Abbey Mullen is a first year Fisher direct admit with a major in accounting. She is very passionate about her studies and graduated as the valedictorian of her high school class. Her favorite subject has always been math, as she loves working with numbers. She hopes to pursue her passion in the accounting field and receive internship opportunities to utilize the skills she learns in the classroom. During high school she participated in a variety of volunteer organizations. One is called Reading Buddies, where she was paired with an underprivileged child who struggled with reading. There were several sessions, and over time the children were able to make major improvements with this skill and become more confident in their abilities. Also, Good For the Soul is a club where she helped the members of her local community. She participated in food drives, clothing drives, ASPCA visits, etc. These have been truly rewarding experiences, and she hopes to continue giving back to the community here at Ohio State. In addition, Abbey is very passionate about tennis. She was the team captain of her high school varsity team and this position taught her about the importance of leadership and teamwork.
