Year in Review

To say label the first year of college as challenging is an understatement. A new level of freedom is acquired but with that comes responsibility, and a lot of it. There’s no one telling you to go to class or not to spend all of your swipes on junk food. For the first time in years, I was forced to make friends as I threw myself into numerous organizations and social situations. The structure of college classes and the type of learning that is expected had me questioning if I ever truly learned how to study. This led to frustration and a lot of trial and error which is still being manipulated to date. But this knowledge is most accessible by experience. As a freshman I wish that I sought out help for studying sooner and realized that all other freshman were in the same position as I was. I will accumulate these experiences as each one continues to shape me into a more well-rounded scholar, leader, and person in general.
