Volunteering

The Wellness Committee has planned another Saturday to hand out food to community members in the south side of Columbus! This organization aims to improve the quality of life for Columbus residents at, around, and below the poverty level through enriching classes to boost life skills, youth-development programs, and food security support for all.

As a group, we have booked Saturday, July 17th as a day for CEMAS graduate students and post-docs (who are willing and able) to volunteer at the Fresh Food Market. We have two shifts to fill, each with seven spots: 8:30am-11:30am and 11:00am-1:00pm. Spot reservation will be first come first serve.

If this opportunity is something you want to participate in, please fill out the below survey indicating your interest, availability, and shift preference and a committee member will be in contact with you. A response is needed by Monday, July 12th, at the end of the workday.
