Welcome to the College of Nursing

Congratulations on your admission!  We are proud of our program, reputation, resources, and students, and are excited to have you as the newest members of our student body.

The commitment to graduate education is one that we take seriously, and we know you will as well. Please know that the graduate nursing program in which you are about to embark will be challenging as well as rewarding. Most importantly, you are not in it alone. Your graduate faculty, administrators, staff and class mates are all right here with you. Outside of Nursing there are a large number of resources to support you as well. We’ll go over those resources as part of your Virtual Admit Packet, along with many of the other important pieces of information that will aid you in the start of your program.

Please take the time to go through this Admit Packet thoroughly. There is a lot of information to absorb, and it has been categorized and organized to make it as easy as possible to follow. If you have questions please reach out to your Graduate Program Manager, your first point of contact as a newly-admitted student. Students in the Family Nurse Practitioner specialty will have Mrs. Gina Clark as their Program Manager. All other specialties in the master’s program have Ms. Tamara Dunaeff as their Program Manager.

As a newly admitted student, the College of Nursing requires you to submit additional documentation to meet our post-admission requirements. As a student entering the Traditional MS or Post-Master’s program, you are required to meet the following post-admission requirements (list can be customized depending on program):

  • Proof of RN licensure or anticipated licensure date
  • Completion of a background check

Please complete the Post-Admission Requirements Survey at https://osu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bwMn20q2k7eHO9n. You must submit documentation towards these requirements by April 1. Please see the Post-Admissions Program Compliance Requirements section for more information.

Again, welcome!  We are so glad you will be a member of our College of Nursing Buckeye Family!  We look forward to sharing in your nursing education journey and meeting you at the in-person Orientation and Welcome Day on August 12, 2019.
