Enrollment Instructions

  • Autumn registration begins in late March
  • Spring registration begins in late October

Check your Enrollment Appointment

Ahead of each semester, you will be given an “Enrollment Appointment” that will be located on the right side of your “My Buckeyelink Page”. This is the time and date you can begin to enroll in courses for that term. We recommend scheduling courses the day that your enrollment appointment opens so you can get classes that best fit your plan and needs.

Steps to Enroll:

Step 1: Navigate to Buckeyelink.osu.edu, click “My Buckeyelink” and enter your Ohio State Name.# and password. It may prompt you to complete the Duo two-step authentication.

Step 2: Click “Add a class” on the left hand side of the page (make sure you’re in “My Buckeyelink”)

Step 3: Click “Search” to find the class in which you intend to enroll.

Step 4: Choose “Public Affairs, John Glenn College” in the subject field and course number (ex: 6000) in the “Course Number” field.

Step 5: Find the class you need, then click “Select” to add it to your “Shopping Cart”

Step 6: Follow the prompts to continue through the steps to “Check out” with your shopping cart. Once completed, you will see the enrolled courses show up on your main My Buckeyelink Page.

Note: Statement of Account may take anywhere from a couple of days to weeks to load into My Buckeyelink depending on when you enroll in courses for the upcoming semester.

To drop a course, you just click “Drop a Course” instead of add in Step #2 and follow instructions. Please refer to the Registrar’s Important Dates and Deadlines or contact your advisor before making any course changes.

If you ever need your advisor to enroll you, please send them an email explicitly stating which course(s) in which you need to be enrolled from your Ohio State email address.
