Artifacts

[Artifacts are the items you consider to be representative of your academic interests and achievements. For each entry, include both an artifact and a detailed annotation.  An annotation includes both a description of the artifact and a reflection on why it is important to you, what you learned, and what it means for your next steps.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. About Me

Hi, I am Drew Mountain, and I am from Cincinnati, Ohio. My intended major as of now is biomedical engineering, and I am on the pre-med track as of now. I am not completely sure whether I want to go to medical school or go back to get an MBA. Either way, I hope to graduate with a 3.7 or higher to make be a competitive applicant for whatever I decide to do. My dream job ever since I was in 8th grade is to become an orthopedic doctor. Outside of class, I love to play all types of sports and hang with my friends.

Year in Review

This has been a great year in terms of school and professional development. I worked really hard in all of my classes and was able to maintain my GPA close to what it was coming into the year. Furthermore, I started research at the Ear and Eye Institute of Ohio State’s Wexner Medical Center where I research the nasal airways and airflow through them. Moving forward, I hope to continue to excel academically while also continuing my research and studying for the MCAT. I feel that I have grown a lot this year and matured a lot. All of my experiences this year stemmed from me stepping out of my comfort zone and taking risks and I believe that they paid off.
