Sports – Tennis, basketball, and soccer were the three sports that I played in high school. I’ve played basketball and soccer since the first grade. I started tennis my freshman year of high school. Sports have taught me to be competitive and never give up. They have shaped me into the hard working person that I have become today. Sports have also helped my transition to Ohio State by making new friends on the court. They allow me to take a break from the books and enjoy myself here at OSU.

Friends – Sam, Adam and Josh are the three friends that I have had almost my entire life. These guys mean the world to me and I wouldn’t give them up for anything. I saw these guys almost every day of my childhood whether it was playing sports or going to school. We would joke and have a blast being around each other all the time. We are all the same age and graduated the same year. Adam attends the University of Louisville where he is a pitcher for their baseball team, while Sam and Josh both attend Bowling Green State University. My friends have been the biggest impact on my life and I don’t know where I’d be without them.

About Me

My name is Robert Morton and I was born and raised in Milan, Ohio. I grew up with a lovable family which included my parents, my sister, my dog and my cat.  I attended Edison High School where I graduated with honors. While at Edison, my time was filled with playing soccer, tennis, and basketball. Sports have shaped my character, as well as taught me the importance of working hard, determination, and setting high goals. My other involvements at Edison included National Honor Society, French Honor Society, French Club, Quill and Scroll, and Key Club.

I will be a freshman this year and I plan to major in Mechanical Engineering. I hope to discover multiple ways to get involved at OSU while meeting new people and working hard towards my degree.
