About Me

(55)

Hello! My name is Elizabeth Morris, and I am a freshman at The Ohio State University. I am currently planning to study neuroscience in the hopes to attend medical school, but I am also expecting my path to potentially change after discovering all the resources and information Ohio State has to offer.

In high school, I pushed myself to do the most I could at one time. I took as many rigorous classes as I could while balancing the desire to be involved. I was a member of groups such as National Honor Society, Class Cabinet, and Jaguar Ambassadors, which was my school’s community service organization. Above all of those, I was heavily involved in band. I’ve been in the band since 5th grade, and during high school marching band, I took positions such as Section Leader and Drum Major to get even more involved. Though I am not planning to study music here, I am taking music classes and I am hoping to get even more skills, musical and personal, that I developed from my past band programs.

As a student, I always strive to push myself. I like to work with small groups since I feel everyone could benefit from discussions, especially with more difficult classes. I learn many different ways, and I am excited to see what works while learning material for my first semester of college. I also am looking forward to truly discovering what my interests are and what I could make a career out of.

Like I said before, I am not set on my path. At the moment, I am considering studying to be a pediatrician, which would combine my interest in medicine and my love of kids. It’s a path I could see myself taking, but I have yet to explore so many options. I cant’t wait to see what I find at Ohio State to lead me on my final path.

I am looking forward to connecting with students and staff to make the most out of my time year. I’m hoping to find some life-long friends who can help each other through the experience here, and some staff who will direct me and be an integral part of my future career.

Here’s to a great year, and Go Bucks!
