Artifact 2

The second artifact that I have chosen to write about are a pair of Jordan 1 “Chicago”‘s. I chose these for two reasons, to represent where I am from and to represent a hobby of mine. Since I am from Chicago, and red/white are the colors of our professional basketball team, the Bulls, these shoes are a great representation of my home town. As well, when I was a junior and senior in high school I got two season ending injuries in football and had to find a new hobby. The hobby that I picked up was reselling shoes and clothes. I created my own small business and found something to take my mind off the hardships of my injuries. Overall, the shoes mean a lot to me in multiple ways, and they will forever be one of my favorite pairs of shoes

Artifacts

Attached below is a pdf of an artifact that means a lot to me. The artifact is a Supreme sticker (shown at the top of the PDF). This artifact represents my resilience and determination to find a new passion after my career ending ACL tears. This sticker represents my clothing resale business as well as a source of income for me. See the pdf for more information.

About Me

Hello,

My name is Aidan Morell and I am a first year. I am 18 years old from Chicago, Illinois, although I lived in Chagrin Falls, Ohio for four years. My hobbies include: sports (specifically football and running), fitness, and reselling clothes/shoes. I am majoring in finance with a minor in computer science in hopes to work with artificial intelligence when I leave college. During my time at OSU I am really hoping to test my passion for coding and business and see if they are truly the right fit for me. I am also really hoping to get involved with the study abroad programs and hopefully study in Ireland, Scotland, or the United Kingdom. I feel as if these would be great insight to different cultures and ways of thinking. I also care very much about school and maintaining a high GPA is very important to me. My main goal following college is to work in downtown Chicago, and to have many internships down there during my college summers. This would allow me to be in the city I love, and be close to my entire family. During college I hope to get involved in social and business greek life, BUCC, and fisher futures. During high school I was not super involved in many extracurriculars seeing that sports and injury took up more of my physical and mental energy, however I am hoping to change that. Ohio State offers so many amazing opportunities for its students, and it would be a shame for me to pass up on them. Overall, I am very excited for my first year, and I really hope to get involved in greek life, intramural sports, business clubs, and to stay involved in Mount.
