About Me

IMG_3748

Hi, I am Monir Moghaddas, a freshman, class of 2020, from Westerville, OH, currently enrolled under the pre-biomedical engineer major. I was born in Las Cruces, NM, but spent the majority of my childhood growing up in Dallas, TX. I plan on either going to dental or medical school to help remedy the social injustice in the health field to people in areas in need. I really enjoys traveling to different places around the world to visit historical and natural sites in order to learn more about different countries and cultures. Growing up in a Persian family, comparing different cultures and traditions are normal to me, especially since I learned Farsi from a very young age. I also enjoy organizing different events for my community youth group, reading a good book on a comfy couch, watching Persian soap operas and of course shopping. Being involved in different communities is very important to me, and I often try promoting and organizing events in my community that promote diversity and unity, especially in a time in which people tend to see only their differences and not the similarities that bring us all together. I like being involved, and can’t wait to get started at OSU this fall.
