About MIXA

Hosted by The Ohio State University, the Mobility Innovation eXchange in Aero/Acoustics (MIXA) virtual symposium series presents talks on recent achievements, innovative tools, and current problems being faced by mobility researchers in aerodynamics and wind noise (aero/acoustics) test and simulation communities from industry, government labs, and research universities.

MIXA provides an opportunity for technical interchange with other practitioners from the aerospace and automotive communities to advance sustainable mobility topics in wind noise and aerodynamic drag reduction.  Participants attend and discuss online presentations centered on these themes, and engage with the ecosystem to identify mutually beneficial research opportunities, including utilization of Honda’s world-class HALO Aeroacoustic Wind Tunnel.  The symposium is an extension education model offering practical learning opportunities to people outside of a traditional classroom setting, aligned with Ohio State’s mission as a community-engaged institution.

“Join us online” – MIXA events are free and open to the public.

The “A” in MIXA represents the interdependency of Aerodynamics and Acoustics to vehicle design, while  traditionally treated as separate  function groups in industry.
