About Me

My name is Madhav Misra. I will be graduating in 2019 with a BS in Economics and International Studies, and a minor in Agribusiness. I was born in New Delhi, India and ever since I was a few months old, I have been traveling. I have lived in India, Morocco, the UAE, South Africa, and numerous cities in the United States. I knew from an early age that I would want to do something with my life that would allow me to continue seeing new places and interacting with different cultures and people. Simultaneously, however, I want my travels to have purpose behind them. I do not wish to see new places merely for pleasure. I would want to work with the people that live there, address their needs, contribute to their well-being and leave a positive impact on them. I see myself choosing a number of career paths with this mindset. I would not shy away from working in trade or banking, or working for the State Department or an NGO.

I am an avid sketcher and I have been drawing ever since I was a toddler. My favorite pieces range from simple doodles in my notebooks to more meticulous ones I spent several days working on. I enjoy volunteer work, and in the past, I have volunteered at nursing homes. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends whenever I have the chance.
