Planning or circulation and building placement was evident on the Monday and Wednesday walks through the neighborhoods adjacent to OSU’s campus. The streets were wider in some areas and narrow in others. Based on the road width there were different types of flow that was used to navigate, such as the “yield flow and two way roads”. Setback were measured as a way to set order in a space, such as in the neighborhoods we saw. There were common setbacks that were used to make adequate use of the lost based on programming. The measurement of the pedestrian walkways were a standard in the neighborhoods as well. These measures of planning are necessary to design public and private sectors of design.
