In the future I plan to go to medical school to become a physician. I am passionate about racial disparities present in healthcare and also motivated by the current lack of diversity in the field. I am a Morrill Scholar, LSAMP Scholar, and Health Sciences Scholar. I am also involved in the Undergraduate Student Government’s Black Caucus. In my free time I enjoy playing sports, hanging out with friends, and listening to music. A fun fact about me is I’m biliterate in Spanish!

Hello, my name is Zion and i will serve as the Vice President of MCOST. I aspire to become a cosmetic dentist in order to improve the smiles of individuals like myself. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis and doing small, but creative projects. Currently, I am a student administrative assistant at the Hale Black Cultural Center, an LSAMP Scholar, a LEGACY intern, and a member of the Undergraduate Student Government Black Caucus Systems and Operations Committee. Fun Fact: I am a Certified Ohio Dental Assistant and Certified Dental Radiographer!

What’s up family, My name is Sammy, and I am blessed to serve as the current Treasurer of MCOST. On campus I am also involved in many organizations like Undergraduate Student Government’s Black Caucus, Pre-Med Club, LSAMP, Block O, SSP, and Morrill Scholars. A fun fact about me is that I know how to play the drums, trumpet and piano. Outside of school I enjoy playing basketball, listening to music, and volunteering at hospitals. After college I plan to go to Medical School where I will aspire to become an Interventional Cardiologist and further the dream of putting more black people in white coats.

Hi! I am Phoenix, the current Secretary of MCOST! Along with MCOST, I am a member we of Ladies of Leadership. I plan to become a physical therapist in order to provide rehabilitative care for underrepresented minorities. In my free time, I enjoy watching tv and movies and hanging out with my friends. A fun fact about me is that I have been a gymnast for 16 years (a competitive gymnast for 9 years).

Hi!! I’m Mia and as humbly as I can say, I am a pretty awesome person. On campus, you’ll rarely find me in my dorm. I’m always at the Ohio Union, Thompson Library, or 18th Avenue library. I am an LSAMP, Morrill and Biological Sciences Scholar. For fun, I love to sing, dance and play the wii. I am the QUEEN at Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros, and if you ever want to challenge me, I am down! Twenty years from now, I see myself as a pediatrician with her own clinic somewhere near my hometown, giving back to the community that helped me become the person I am today.

Bio: As of right now, I’m interested in going into the pharmaceutical industry and being part of the drug discovery and development process. Outside of school, I like to play sports, go to concerts, hang out with my friends, and watch Netflix. A fun fact about me is that I am biliterate in Spanish.

Hey, I’m Juliet and proudly serving as the current Marketing chair for MCOST! A fun fact about me is that I’ve played the saxophone for 9 years. My hobbies include traveling, shopping and taking pictures! I plan to become a creative/art director in marketing and later become a documentary filmmaker.
