  • Service Engagement: During this first year at The Ohio State University, I took part in many different service activities. These activities took place on campus, in the city of Columbus, and back in my hometown which allowed me to look at situations in a different perspective. I had the opportunity to volunteer at the Garden of Hope where we prepared the garden for the winter. Another service activity that I took part in for the city of Columbus was taking part in the MLK day of service at COSI. Another service activity that I took part in was volunteering for the Autism Speaks Walk in downtown Columbus. In my hometown, I was able to tie blankets for the patients of the hospital with my sister on different occasions. Volunteering for these different causes allowed me to give back to the communities that have given to me so much. I look forward to continuing to volunteer and serve the communities around me.

Artifacts

[Artifacts are the items you consider to be representative of your academic interests and achievements. For each entry, include both an artifact and a detailed annotation.  An annotation includes both a description of the artifact and a reflection on why it is important to you, what you learned, and what it means for your next steps.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen.
