Union County Farmers Market Work

This page contains work I created as an intern for the Union County Farmers Market during the summer of 2021.

35th Anniversary Flyer

The main goal of this flyer was to highlight the 35th anniversary of market and include time, dates and location. The market director asked for the inclusion of a ribbon for the anniversary and the sun rays in the background. I chose fonts the emulated a more rustic look and chose to include fruits and vegetables that are common produce at the market.

Sponsor Thank You Signs

There are four different tier levels for sponsors that were put out at the market everyday. The main focus of these were to include the logos of the sponsors and a thank you. In order to add more visual interest I added a photo taken at the market of peaches in the background and layer a slightly translucent rectangle behind the logos as well.

Market Bucks Coupon

These coupons were for use at the market by customers. The Market Director wanted the 35th anniversary ribbon included with the original logo of the barn. I included those and used the same fonts and the peaches photo from the flyer and thank you signs to create consistency.

Recipe Book

This book contained recipes submitted be the vendors of the market. I kept with the peaches and rectangles design for the recognizable consistency that it provided up to this point. The goal was to include as many recipes as possible. I utilized the same fonts from previous works and kept the layout to either one or two recipes per page depending on how long each recipe was. The challenging part of this was making sure that everything was aligned and that it all fit on the page. There was a lot of little details that needed addressed like making sure that measurement abbreviations were consistent across recipes and that all of the text was the correct distance apart.
