ODNR Division of Wildlife Work

This page contains all of the graphics work I did during my internship with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources in the Division of Wildlife Customer Engagement Section during the summer of 2021.

Division of Wildlife Instagram Story Covers

For these covers I my goal was to take the current stories the page had and better categorize them, so I created several different options for the same cover. The story highlights were simplified to Wild Ohio Harvest Community, Hunting, Archery, Field Guides, Ranges, Licenses, Birding and Fishing. My goal was the include the division’s colors from their logo, but also provide a more earthy, outdoor look to them which I did by adding the dirt splatters to them. I also planned to keep the logos easy recognizable by using only black silhouettes.

Wild Ohio Harvest Community (WOHC) Instagram Story Covers

WOHC focuses more on learning about hunting and fishing and is a newer Instagram page for the division. This group also focuses on conservation efforts that come from hunting and fishing. I wanted the icons to be similar to the Division of Wildlife ones, but I wanted to separate the two still. I kept very simple drawings of each of the story highlights, which are small game, deer, conservation, fishing and foraging. There are less highlights on this page so I added more detail to keep their visual appeal.

Office Flyer

This flyer was created to hang on the door of the section offices in order to let people know what the hours were and when people would be in and out of the office. To keep the text easy to read I kept a light background and minimal graphics laying behind the words. I still wanted to include wildlife imagery in order to keep with the division’s theme so I added in trees and animals.
