Class Reflection

Lately, trade has been a hot news topic and I’ve found myself scratching my head about the economics behind it all. With my interest in international trade policy, this course quickly became one of my favorites. I learned how comparative advantage dictates trade patterns among nations and how tariffs, subsidies, voluntary export restraints, and other policy mechanisms impact world and domestic prices. After completing this course, I’ll be able to better understand current events, especially those pertaining to trade.
