3D Print Team Business Model Canvas

This is my team’s business model canvas for our ICE class business model project. In this project we worked in a team of 8 people to take a simple business idea into a full business model with customer validation to base edits off of. My idea was simple, a 3D Print store in a mall similar to that of Build-A-Bear’s business model. After creating an initial business model canvas with our basic idea put on paper, we had many things proved different because of our extensive customer validation surveys. These proved to us that users are less interested in going to our store because of the learning experience but rather to just make customizable products on our 3D printing machines. Our final BMC displays how we would make this store successfully come to market and hopefully make a steady revenue stream from store visitors.

About Me

Hello, my name is Michael Milam and this is my Ohio State University student ePortfolio. On this page I will record my academic career and share my professional plans and intentions. In short, I am a Mechanical Engineering student who hopes to gain engineering skills and knowledge so that I am able to innovate products and successfully create a self-owned business one day. Before studying at The Ohio State University I attended St. Ignatius High School, a Jesuit four year college preparatory school in Cleveland, Ohio.  In my four years here at The Ohio State University I hope to get into the Mechanical Engineering college and in my senior year get into the design and manufacturing concentration. I also may look into getting a minor in Entrepreneurship so that I have basic business principles in my education as well. My first two years here I will be a part of the Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship Scholars program, which is a scholar’s group that allows students with similar interests in creating their own products and/or business a place to connect and learn together. I joined this program because it fit suit with exactly every reason I came to college in the first place, and so far it has been the greatest part of my college experience.
