Hi Mia! I am so glad you were able to print out your images – this collage turned out great! I am sure there is a larger story that you have created behind it, but here I really see how dreaming is a form of traveling. I definitely feel this way in the pandemic — sometimes our dreams are more interesting than the monotonous environments we are stuck in right now! I also see various literary references where young women go on exciting travel adventures while dreaming: The Wizard of OZ and Alice and Wonderland. Are there more I am not recognizing?
I am looking forward to your translation drawing copy next week. You might have to take some liberties when “copying” this collage. Think about what extra things you might add or subtle changes you might make as you create the drawing. Might you add other specific literary references or hide secrets within your drawing? As the artist, you have creative control!
