FLYER- 2016 MIDWEST HERITAGE LANGUAGE SUMMIT

The Midwest Heritage Language Network is pleased to announce a one-day summit on heritage languages in the community at Michigan State University on April 23, 2016.

We are also delighted to announce that our keynote speaker will be Professor Abbas Benmamoun (Vice Provost for Faculty Affairs and Academic Policies and Professor of Linguistics, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign), a renowned Arabic linguist and expert on Arabic as a heritage language.

Topics for this summit will include heritage speakers and the business community, health care, educational resources, and bilingualism and family language maintenance. There will be an afternoon poster presentation session. We encourage graduate students, community members, and faculty to submit poster proposals.
