Welcome to the Master in Healthcare Innovation Program at The Ohio State University.  You are about to embark on one of the most stimulating and impactful journeys of your professional career.  We are happy you chose to join us to improve the health and wellness of those we serve through innovation leadership.  Our ultimate goal is to provide you with real world skills to drive innovation forward in our healthcare system.  This could be in the clinical setting, business office, insurance industry, supply chain, consultation and a variety of other areas.  You are joined in your journey by colleagues with similar goals and ambitions from a variety of disciplines.  You all share many characteristics including risk taking, empathy, passion and drive.  You will guided along the way by world class faculty who have all been there and done that.  The curriculum is state of the art with an emphasis on innovation, complexity theory, complex adaptive systems and design thinking.  As Director, I know you won’t be disappointed with your decision.  I am here for you, so if you ever need anything, do not hesitate to contact me.

In order to be adequately prepared to begin the MHI program this autumn, please review the information on the site thoroughly. The site is designed to provide you with important information you need to know as a new student in the College of Nursing.  More information will be shared with you as the autumn semester approaches.  Use the MHI new student to do list to ensure you have completed the necessary requirements prior to the start of the program.


We are holding a couple of events related to orientation for new MHI students:

  1. New student Transformation Day, which will be hosted in-person at The Fawcett Center on Monday, August 15, 2022. More information will be shared soon. For now, please save the date!
  2. MHI orientation, which will be held on Thursday, August 18. This event will be held in-person at The Fawcett Center. A finalized agenda will be provided closer to the orientation date.
