Dan Herms is Professor, State Extension Specialist, and Chair in the Department of Entomology at The Ohio State University, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1997. He received his B.S. in Landscape Horticulture from Ohio State University, his M.S. in both Horticulture and Entomology, also from Ohio State University, and a PhD from Michigan State University in Entomology with a specialization in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. His research, teaching, and extension programs focus on the ecology and management of insect pests in forests, urban forests, ornamental landscapes, nurseries and Christmas tree plantations.
