Jacob Meyer currently attends The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio as a full time student in the mechanical engineering pre-major. He was born in Liberty Township, Ohio and attended St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati and graduated in 2016. Throughout high school, Jacob was involved in the community through Boy Scouts. During this time he participated in service projects such as cleaning up litter in the Little Miami river and rebuilding three cabins for Metro Parks, among other activities. Jacob received the rank of Eagle Scout in December, 2015. Through St. Xavier High School, Jacob was able to participate in a mission trip to Guatemala City, Guatemala to build a computer lab and teach English to the impoverished children at the Francisco Coll School. This trip yielded a plethora of new experiences as well as opened his eyes to the disparity that the people of third world countries face. This trip helped Jacob decide that he wanted to help the people of third world countries with his mechanical engineering degree after spending some time in the automotive design industry.

Outside of school, Jacob enjoys spending time outdoors doing things such as fishing, kayaking, hiking, and camping. In addition to this, Jacob has played recreational soccer for ten years. Soccer not only kept Jacob physically active, but also taught him important lessons in teamwork and the merits of working hard. Apart from soccer, Jacob also has spent an abundant amount of time working on his car. These experiences taught him aspects of electrical, audio, and mechanical engineering. Through working on his car, Jacob solidified his career goals to first enter into the automotive design industry designing various cars after receiving his degree before using his mechanical engineering knowledge to design things to help improve the quality of life for people in third world countries.
