Bio-Sci Scholars Event: Zero Waste Volunteering

Before an Ohio State football game on September 16th, I had the opportunity to help the Zero Waste Project. This volunteering opportunity was of interest to me because I love the outdoors, and I am passionate about maintaining a healthy environment. For the day, my group distributed recycling bins to all of the tailgaters outside the stadium. This work helped to recycle a large majority of cardboard, plastic bottles, glass bottles, and aluminum cans that would have otherwise been thrown away. It was great to see that not only the volunteers were supportive of recycling, but also, the tailgaters were very happy that we provided them with bins and some tailgaters even asked for more bins.
