Yadira Mendez is a freshman in the Honors program at the Ohio State University. She was born and raised in Naples, Florida and graduated in 2019 from Golden Gate High School. The achievement for which she is most proud of is her early graduation. She was initially in the high school graduating class of 2020, but she combined her senior and junior years into one and graduated a year early.
She enrolled at the Ohio State University to obtain a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences and is soon declaring her biology minor. She is on the pre-medicine track and hopes to attend Medical School in the future. Yadira aspires to gain a specialty in some medical field that cares for either women or young children. Before she graduates, she hopes to participate in some type of medical research. Yadira is currently working as an OA for the Houston Houck front desk under Residence Life and she is a member of the medical innovations club. She hopes to soon transfer to a job at the Wexner Medical Center and to become a leader within the medical innovations club.
