What We’re About!

Students in selected second-year writing classes at Ohio State Marion are collecting and analyzing oral history materials showing north central Ohio residents’ involvement in, and attitudes toward, science, technology, and industry. A primary goal is to document the technical history of workers, and their families, jobs, and businesses, in the region.

If you would like further information, please e-mail memories@osu.edu or leave a message for Sue Oakes at 740-725-6264.

Community Reception

Welcome to the Community Reception! Monday, April 24th, 6:30-8:30pm

Please join us in the Guthery Community Room (on the second floor of Maynard Hall) on The Ohio State University Marion campus, for a come-and-go reception. Light refreshments will be served.

We’ll be thanking community members, who generously gave of their time in order to be interviewed, and celebrating students’ accomplishments, including an announcement of the “Top Three” research posters, as judged by a team of OSU Marion faculty and staff.

Open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and especially the community, this evening’s event showcases students’ research — and offers a chance to hear each other’s work-life stories about Science, Technology, and Industry.
