Searching for royalty-free images is more improved when using Google search. This is extremely beneficial for many of our MedNet21 webcast presenters that are looking for images for their medical presentations. This tutorial will guide you through the process of locating images free of copyright restrictions.
First, open your web browser and navigate to the Google website. Now, type in the item that you would like to search for.
Once the results of your search appear, click on the Images tab.
Next, you’ll do an in-depth search for more details related to your image. You can do this by clicking on the Settings Drop-down menu and select Advanced Search.
The Advanced Image Search page should now be displayed. Under the Advanced Search options you can see details related to “free to use” images listed at the bottom of the page under the usage rights section. Any of the “free to use” items would be royalty-free and available to use for a MedNet21 webcast or in another on-line presentation.
In addition to ensuring that you’re not using copyright images, it’s good to keep a record of the web page or URL that you obtained your image from. This helps you to quickly confirm for others that your images are not copyrighted and are free to use for your presentations.
