How the COVID-19 Pandemic has affected how people work in the kitchen

In an effort to limit the spread of the coronavirus, most countries introduced restrictions that have affected how people buy and consume food. Restaurants and venues have been closed, and many companies and institutions have switched from working in the office to working from home. Many people who used to eat out have had to start preparing meals at home.

  • 40% of consumers report to have changed food-related behaviors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Most consumers report enjoying cooking and family meals more than before.
  • Only 5% of people studied amongst 10 European countries indicated less involvement with food.

This rise in time spent in the kitchen can be frustrating for amputees, being that their kitchen is not necessarily designed with them in mind.
