Learning Spanish is a very important part of my academics. I have been learning it since I was young and I have always enjoyed it. I am planning on minoring in Spanish and being fluent in the language. I am excited to experience other cultures and I am planning on going abroad to immerse myself in Hispanic culture. In the future, I want to be able to help many patients, and I believe that speaking Spanish will help me be able to communicate with others who may not speak English and hopefully make an impact on these people in the medical field. Each class I take I learn more and more Spanish, and more about many different Hispanic countries. This artifact is the flag of Mexico. It can be a struggle for some people to get the medical care they need when they cannot speak the language in the country, but no language barrier should stop anyone from getting the care they need.
