The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures at Virginia Tech invites applications for an adjunct Chinese language instructor for Fall 2023. Renewal of the contract is possible based on the instructor’s performance. The position requires the ability to conduct classroom instruction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach two to three sections of Chinese language
- Balance office hours between language instruction, tutoring, and development of Chinese instructional materials, exercises, and class
Instructional period is 21 August 2023 till 13 December 2023 for the Fall semester.
The suitable candidate should have a masters in Chinese language or a related field, or at least 18 credit hours at the graduate level.
