Dear colleagues,
I am a researcher in Lu Xun studies. I live in Australia. Recently, I was invited to take part in the project “Lu Xun studies and the growth of his reputation outside China: documentation and studies” (域外鲁迅传播和研究文献整理与研究). We have a team working on the English-speaking world but the members responsible for North America are two young scholars in China and that is not an ideal situation. We are thinking of inviting one or two young scholars from the US or Canada to join us.
Accessing academic publications in the States and Canada is not a problem to us. However, the project plans to include non-academic publications such as newspaper articles. It also wants to include Lu Xun-related activities such as conferences, exhibitions, and performances.
Potential candidate(s) will also contribute to the discussion of the North-American perception and interpretation of Lu Xun. We believe the discussion can generate a series of papers to be published in academic journals in China (at least).
We hope you can help discovering new materials for a better understanding of Lu Xun in North America.
