The Department of World Languages, Literatures, and Cultures at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment in Chinese Studies (https://www.holycross.edu/academics/programs/chinese-studies) to begin in August 2022. Candidates must have native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English, a Ph.D. with expertise in Chinese cinema or modern and contemporary Chinese visual culture and experience teaching Chinese language at the college level in the U.S.
This position carries a 3-2 teaching load with a full-salary one-semester research leave prior to tenure review, and generous sabbatical and fellowship leaves for tenured faculty. Tenure track faculty are eligible for travel support and reimbursement of relocation costs within the College’s published policies.
