UC Riverside position

The Department of Comparative Literature and Languages at the University of California, Riverside, seeks part-time Chinese language lecturers to teach one section of Chinese 2 (First-year Chinese) and two sections of Chinese 3 (First-year Chinese) in Spring quarter 2020, pending enrollment and funding. (Spring Quarter instruction begins March 30, 2020 and ends June 12, 2020.)

Salary:

Present lecturer salary is approximately $7,047.52 per course (pending final budget approval).
Appointment is eligible for renewal depending on need, funding and performance. All appointments are contingent upon the appointee being able to provide, in accordance with Federal law, evidence of authorization to work in the United States.

Its mission is explicitly linked to providing routes to educational success for underrepresented and first-generation college students. A commitment to this mission is a preferred qualification.

Duties:

Duties will consist in the instruction of 3 courses in total: One section of Chinese 2 (First-year Chinese); Two sections of Chinese 3 (First-year Chinese)
