The first photo was taken on my first day here at OSU. It is of my roommate and I, and we are ecstatic but also so nervous to be here! This photo represents the start of my journey at OSU, and the beginning of all the things I am involved in here. There have been tons of ups and downs – changing my major, getting through exams, and just learning how to live on my own. Through it all however, my roommate and the friends I have made in HSS have allowed me to make it through them all.

This second photo is of my friends and I at a football game. This photo was taken on the day I heard that I got into the Experiential Advantages Externship Program. It is run by my other scholars program I am a part of, MSP, and that program is going to be a huge learning experience for me. I am going to be shadowing in different engineering fields, getting to know all about the work field and get to know what I really want to do. It also represents HSS, because it was taken with all of my best friends that I have met through HSS. They have been with me through this whole journey, and I am so grateful for HSS as it allowed me to meet them.

This final photo is of Chicago. It has always been a dream of mine to move to a big city after graduation, and the idea of being able to move there someday really motivates me to do well in school. It makes me want to stick to my goals: stay healthy and exercise, do all that I can to achieve academic success in my chosen field, and to also have a social life while I’m doing it!
