This website showcases the project work created by Mollie McConnell for ESETEC 7297: Designing Multimedia for Instruction at The Ohio State College of Education and Human Ecology as part of the Learning Technologies Masters degree program.

Designing Multimedia for Instruction provides an introductory overview of multimedia learning principles and development strategies and specifies requirements for the design, development, and evaluation of multimedia learning materials.

The research base for the course exists in the areas of cognitive learning theory, motivation, visual design principles, communication, usability, multimedia learning principles and instructional design as applicable to designing multimedia instructional products.

The course project demonstrates the application of the principles of multimedia design for instruction learned throughout the term through the creation of two media assets: an infographic and a video.

The topic of instruction for the media assets created for this project is fake news.

You will need a PDF viewer such as Adobe Acrobat Reader and the capability to view video in a web browser.
