Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. G.O.A.L.S.

One of my biggest goals in school is to just graduate on time, with good grades, and no problems. I hope to have no issues with any of my schooling or issues with any class requirements. I plan on being on top of that my entire school career. A plan I have for this year specifically is to just not get Covid-19 and so far I am still on track for that. A goal of mine is to study abroad. When I was first finding out about the school I saw a study abroad program available at Oxford, which I am eager to do. I hope to get some kind of internship during my time here, just to help start building my professional connections. I hope to find some kind of club that interests me and where I can grow.

About Me

Hi! My name is Samuel McClements. I am from Los Angeles, California. I’m a first year here at Ohio State. This is actually my first time going to Ohio and Ohio State. Prior to the school year I’ve never been to see the school, the Columbus area, or even the midwest in that matter. So I really went here with zero knowledge on anything, just went in with a blind eye. I am a political science major and I am on a Pre-Law track. Being that I’m from California, I’m a huge fan of the sun and the beaches. Which I’m not going to get a lot of over here. I’ve recently been really into baking, ever since the start of quarantine. I’m also really big into bouldering, which is just rock climbing without a rope.
