Career

After my first semester at Ohio State I feel a lot more confident on my future. I am sure I have access to the resources that will allow me to reach my goal of attending medical school. Right now, I am a neuroscience major on the pre-med track. I really enjoy this program and I intend to stick with it but in the event I find myself wanting to change majors, I will change to biology. My plan to stay healthy while balancing time is to play intramural sports and practice yoga. I will commit to this by playing intramural sports through the scholars program or a potential sorority and practicing yoga at the rpac or through the club Breathe Hope. I feel confident that I can go to my professors’ office hours, my major advisors, or fellow health sciences scholars for wisdom and guidance. Next semester will bring many new challenges and changes. First I am taking harder classes, but will be taking less survey courses so I will have plenty of time to study. Also I have plans to rush in the beginning of the semester, so if I find the perfect house for me, I will find myself in a situation where I’ll be meeting a lot of new people. I’m excited for this because right now I am surrounded by mostly health sciences scholars, and while I love my fellow scholars and being surrounded by people taking the same classes as me, I am excited to meet people of all different walks of life. Next semester I also hope to gain a volunteering position at a hospital nearby and apply for a research position for the summer. Overall I am excited for my future.field friends scrubs
